Following 33 months of consecutive first Friday events, Georgefest is going dark through winter months. New event leadership is scheduled to make updates to the event to offer a fresh start in 2018.

Carrie Bunker, newly appointed Georgefest interim executive director, said, “The Georgefest street festival you have come to know and love is getting a facelift. We have listened to your feedback and we are making things even better,” she said. “We are going dark January and February to prepare for a bigger and better 2018. Watch for our new launch on Friday March 2, and thanks for supporting Georgefest.”

Georgefest, a nightlife event designed to celebrate the best of southern Utah, is held on the first Friday of every month from 6-10 p.m., with the Jazz Garden at Green Gate Village open until midnight April–October. A point of pride for southern Utah residents, in November, Georgefest event creators were recipients of a Golden Spike Award from Public Relations Society of America for their research-based approach to creating and adapting Georgefest.

For more information, or to become a vendor, visit, or email Georgefest organizers are now accepting applications for street market vendors, buskers, and food vendors for the 2018 season.
