The “Roaring 20’s” theme returns to Historic Downtown St. George Nov. 3, with the Georgefest annual advent of “Classic George.” Attendees are encouraged to dress in 1920s attire and come ready to enjoy the age of having fun and defying the social norms while celebrating Georgefest’s 33rd consecutive first Friday event.
Those arriving in a vintage, antique cars will be offered prime parking spaces at the center of Main Street in Historic Downtown from 6-10 p.m. The impromptu car show will run in tandem with the event, with cars encouraged to arrive at Main Street by 5 p.m.
Headlining the Main Stage FREE Concert will be Heidi Anderson from 7-8 p.m. Following Anderson, the DJ Dance Party will light up Main from 8:30-10 p.m.
The Jazz Garden at Green Gate Village welcomes Salt Lake City’s Andrew Goldring, a solo act, will headline from 9-11 p.m.the band, Westward of Salt Lake City at 6:30 p.m.
Heidi Anderson will perform on the Mainstage from 7-8 p.m. DJ DANCEPARTY will then take over at 8:30-10 p.m. The Jazz Garden will have a softer vibe for those 21 and older who want to throw themselves into the diverse culture of the 1920’s. Westward, a local band from Salt Lake City, will start their performance at 6:30 p.m. with Andrew Goldring, another local act from Salt Lake City, taking over from 9-11 p.m.
Launching June 2015, Georgefest has taken place on the first Friday of every month consecutively at Historic Downtown St. George. “We are thrilled to be celebrating Georgefest’s 33rd event this month,” said John Kessler, Georgefest board chair. “The longevity of this event is a testament to the fact that as a community, we enjoy each other’s company and gathering together in the center of our beautiful town each month.”
